This makes me happy now:
Which is the opposite reaction I had when I was a frac engineer.

Same here... I actually was laid off a month ago and now I’m moving to a Natural gas company that’s well established in the area. So hopefully I will have more job stability

This is why our company provides both energy information and automotive/transportation information products. Counter-cyclical hedging FTW!

Well, we both drive E9X M3s and I think E92 and my parents live in the same town.

I figured it was more of a case of when I was going to lose that job, not if. I was prepared though, M3 paid for, resume ready to go the day I got let go.

We got work, we are ticking over and we are profitable, but we are part of much bigger conglomerate whose Oil and gas subsidiaries aren’t making a profit on the whole. If it all continues to fall and makes other companies in our group fail then we feel that too.
We lost a few guys in April, we then had to get some guys in from Houston for a few weeks to pick up the slack. That sounds bad as it is, but we aren’t in Texas or even the US, we paid for 4 guys to come to the UK and work for a few weeks.

Frac got hit super hard in Texas. Almost no one is making a profit.
